I read that Maloney has got a hernia he has had since last season but didn't want to get it operated on so he could help Hull fight relegation.

If that's true why has he waited for over a month to decide to get the operation?

Their season finished in the middle of May I find it strange that he has waited until now to decide to get the operation.

He's a clever footballer who has played well against us often enough, I wouldn't have an issue. Unfortunately many footballers in the Scottish game have old firm connections nothing new there though

I can't see us making any further signings before Friday as Maloney and May are at a stalling point at the moment. Hopefully still good enough to make it through to the next stage in Europe as we are not playing any Euro giants from Luxembourg.

Would Hull give him a medical if they were wanting to extend his contract. Nae a new signing so maybe would have just offered a deal. You never know how teams conduct their business.

In my experience a hernia can be caused by an underlying hip issue. So there might be truth in these stories.

Or maybe he decided to say he was a bit sore so never risked taking the medical in case he failed it and risked losing the chance of a contract, and is now getting it checked out so he can pass the medical

Maybe he's made his mind up after not sitting through the medical. All will be revealed soon. He may well change his mind.

The p and j saying that Hull are set to offer Maloney a new deal as his injury is not a problem to them.

May is also set to get a fresh start at Preston, it looks like we ersed about too much with that one. If we offered them 400k like they asked for instead of 300k he would have been here already.

Well thats 1 week to go until our season officially starts and technically we have only signed 1 player so far, 3 including the 2 loans who could be called back at any time.Better get your fingers out AFC.
