Folk on here saying Maynard is pish but he didnt used to be. Then the same saying GMS who is a light weight fanny will be good as he was good at the PJMs but he hasnt been at Celtic and is being binned. Doesnt make sense.

How do you know that Maynard isn't a light weight fanny too

Because hes not as ive seen him play and colleague of his says he will bang them in and is one of the best finishers hes seen. Fitness is the key with him. Which is why i think hes on a year deal. But i will say he will hit 13-17 goals

Fair enough but if you think he can get back to his Bristol City form of 5 years ago then why can't GMS get back to his Dundee United form of 2 years ago.

I don't think it's that big of a deal if he is light weight fanny as he will be playing on the wing,we had one captaining us for the last 2 years and playing in midfield that was worse.

GMS hasnt been injury plagued hes found out as nae that good. Ill buy everyone on here a pint if Maynard doesnt hit double figures

There was a reference to TWO in the Twitter feed before the Shay news was revealed but that was presumably just a reference to his squad number. Seems a bit late for a big signing announcement.

Hard to quantify it at present though given that Hayes, Jack and McGinn are all off the wage bill and would presumably have been our highest earners. I imagine any contract we offered him would be on a similar level to what Hayes and McGinn were on.

GMS is a lightweight compared to Jack and that should tell you something.
Jack may not have been as strong in the tackle as we would have liked, but he was effective at keeping the ball when he had it.
