I'd simply revert Shinnie to the left back role, where'd he'd form a good relationship with GMS in the same way he did with Hayes, O'Connor into midfield alongside Tansey.

Normally agree with what you say FTH.
Not here.
Shinnie will be midfield.
DM has effectively said so.
I like him in there.
Ratting away, breaking things up.
O'Connor & Tansey will be one paced.
If we could find a Shinnie clone for midfield yes, then put him back to LB.
Considine though is an honest trier, but far too slow, not great going forward. Not a modern full back.

We bagged £1.3m for Hayes.
Ok, there are various things to consider:
- we don't get it all up front
- we've spent on GMS
- we've spent on loan fees for Christie & Steeart
- we've re-signed Lewis & Logan

But we still must have money in kitty, especially taking the QR3 money into account.

So if we're to go with what we have I'd be disappointed

The quicker that transfer gets done the better as he would certainly offer more threat than GMS, Maynard, Stockley and Stewart.
Also we are severely lacking at the back with 3 players who are holding the team back from progressing with their poor defensive attributes. I will let Logan off the hook as he is one of our most consistent performers.

Bit harsh on GMS and Stewart who are proven at this level. Stockley is simple not good enough and Maynard we've yet to really see.

Preston have effectively said May is going nowhere right now. Burton Albion are also sniffing about him, ironically as a replacement for the injured former AFC transfer target Liam Boyce.

We're penny pinching on Moult so who knows what we're upto.
