1 As far as I know Patrick Cryne ez sold the club, Barnsley Council get heyf and Patrick the other £10 million. Considering he's owed £8 million by the club I wouldn't begrudge the modest £2 mill profit for his family.

He's owed £6 mill fo loans and he's underwritten a £2 mill overdraft.

With respect who else would be able to stump up 20 million quid to buy this club? If we were looking for another local businessman of the Cryne ilk to take over, with similar finances to Cryne, then it simply wouldnt happen. Having read the chronicle it sez the consortium isn't going to pump in millions. They want us to be a solid championship club so I get the impression that the situation with buying and selling will remain status quo but the wage structure slightly altered to make us more competitive.

Are these people reight for this club? I see it that we have no choice. I just hope they respect what the club has done recenly to become successful and continue in the same mould but with their own ideas to build and improve on these solid foundations set by Mr Cryne

Mi owd Dad nearer 100 than 90 said to me this morning "I've just been reading Chronical and I've been watching football for 85 years and Ive never heard of this Billy Beeun who did he lake for". got to smile.

It's a good read that in Chronical they "Mr Lee and Billy Beane" are alleged to say they are not going to throw money at Barnsley but want a team that can hold it's own in the Championship and none of this fighting relegation every year they also say they want a good youth policy bringing money into the club.

I've said before in a few years you won't need to be in the premier league to get big bucks, the Championship will be not far behind

The Council wouldn't get half would they ? They own half of the land but the football club itself is owned 100% by Cryne . There'd be two different companies to buy .
