    The Labour Party Conference

I was quite looking forward to the new messiah's speech, of course I expected the ritual Tory bashing, and we got plenty of that, but then Jeremy complained about the evil Tory press savaging his old flame Diane Abbott, which led to a prolonged standing ovation for the much maligned aging lefty. Then they began singing 'Happy Birthday' to her, at which point I began to feel quite nauseous, and had to switch it off.

Lots of pledges yesterday, I lost count of the billions we can afford.

Wonder if Dianne can count how old she is.

You don't do you? Do "platitudinous" I mean?

From bitter experience anyone who tells me "I'm a simple soul", usually turns out to be anything but!

Maybe if you put it like this:

Well I can't think of a more platitudinous, cliché-ridden speech that I've heard in several years.

I'm well lost now BT, I'm an Accy lad, I haven't a fecking clue what you're trying to say, except it's probably not complimentary.

Thanks BT, I could just murder something like that, I'm on a bloody diet. Roast onion salad and poached chicken for my tea. It was OK, but it's not proper food is it.
