Hahahaha.......Good ole Sid, don't let the facts get in the way of a typical Labour soundbite.

What he doesn't realise is that his own party knew to NEVER fall into the same trap that he did.

My favorite pastime .....fishing.....bait the hook and let him swallow it while I go off for a few hours.

Maggie and her Tory successors.....1979-1996......Council Housing/Local Housing Association/Registered Social landlords......913,690 homes

Bliar and his "soundbite crew".....1997-2008......... 290,750

Scores-on-the-doors.......Tarkers yawns as he reaches for the calculator......Maggie and Co = 50,761 per year, Bliar = 24,299 per year

Stunned silence, surely these figures are not correct?.....where did they come from?

Labour's own University of Nottingham educated, and current London Assembly Housing spokesman no less!!

    Ouch....that stung.

ps Sid, if you want to discuss straight Council Houses next....I'm ready and willing......Maggie - 41,343 average......Bliar - 562......yes.....562 PER YEAR

Maggie built more Council houses in HER WORST YEAR 17,710...than liebour did in total, 7,870 in 13 years or, removing the Cameron changeover year, 6,510 in 12 years

While Labour has promised that it would double the rate of housebuilding by 2020 (equivalent to some 240,000 homes per year), one of its London Assembly members has argued that the party should "apologise" for its record on affordable housing.

Tom Copley, Labour's housing spokesman in the capital, said that Margaret Thatcher's government had built more council flats and houses in a single year than New Labour's managed in its entire period in office.

[QUOTE=sidders;38671346]1. People die. Have you noticed. How many houses around you have the same people in them that were there in 1990, 2000, 2010 even?

Well on the close where I live out of the top 8 houses (I live on a hill) we were last to move in 29 years ago so they do all have the same people in them and all are brilliant neighbours.

I saw it as it was in reply to me - and it worries me not one iota. You will have your predictions and I'll back mine. Talking of backing, I'm still awaiting your confirmation our 'Pony Bet' was for £25 not £20......... I wouldn't want to even dream you might be 'Welshing' in some way now that December 10th moves closer........ sorry, apologies to you ...... gentlemen don't do this do they?

Whilst on this subject, I do understand gambling my friend ..... what I've always told you is I don't bet on the horses (a mugs game unless you have the wealth of my old boss) but a nice straight game of three card brag is my forte and I could relate to both heavy wins and losses back in the day when I made real money. Willie Thorne, Duncan Norvelle and the lads, ah the memories - but all finished now.

Actually EP I'm a little weary of all this political banter ....... it begins to bore me. I've just checked the bedside drawer and pleased to say I've still got a couple of viagra left (well I need it at nearly 80!) so as the girlfriends coming over tonight I'll bugger off now and get the wine and other things sorted. As said many times ....... it's a wonderful life ........ it's there to be enjoyed while you can. I don't want to be governed by scruffy, small minded cult following morons that may alter this.

    Toodle pip for now.

Ahhhh...Viagra....bought a decent stash on a trip to Guatemala two years ago (special offer in the chemist across the road from my drinking den there), trying to impress the local barmaid with my "planning and preparation".......after her boyfriend turned up and gave me the "evil eye" for an hour, I took one anyway for fun in the bar.......my thirst grew in intensity...stamina and "staying power" increased...and my solo drinking session lasted longer.....I was impressed

ps don't try this at home folks....it's not too funny when you're trying to pee in the barroom toilet by trying to bend it in half....much to the amusement of the local Guate drunks who find it hilarious

I honestly can't remember the amount, but it's not important. I will hand over £25 if I lose to keep my reputation intact.

Serious - You will get me into trouble on here.......again....I'm trying to be a "good boy" after my mate Vlad was booted into cyberspace....I have no wish to join him in the ethereal void of eternal blackness.......even when Elite started his insults last night (see above), I took it on the lower mandible.

Sid is truly an Anarchist, I agree....but I am waiting for him to comment on the "Council House Building facts" before deciding which expletive to add!

.....as for National Service, I'm unsure whether he would have lasted the two years.....unless it was in the glasshouse, jailed for spreading treason amongst the ranks.

Tarquin, if you are such a delicate little flower that you found those words insulting, you could always block my posts.

No....I think I'll let you continue to make your little digs at me, so that everyone else can see the true nature of your personality....I've not insulted you or had a "pop" at you since you returned from your Storm-chasing vacation.

So, in summary, No Comment....I'm too busy polishing my new shiny halo
