Rodak: how can you play a keeper who won't come out when it's his ball, ie there 1st goal. Punches ball when it's chest high. Send him back in January. O'Donnell can't be one of Warney's boys. Wood & Mattock were shocking. Ajayi got to come in. Manny why did we sign one for the future when we need someone in there now. Hinds give him a run at left back. Forde is not a footballer. He must be so far up Warney's ars*. Midfield need Vaulks back. Ihwieke would say our best player today. Rodak 2 Cummings 6 Ihwieke 7 Wood 5 Mattock 5 Williams 6 Potter6 Towell 5 Newell 5 Forde 3 Moore 6. Ball is not a Roth' type player. Slow, not direct enough. When I saw Yates come on I went. Another one of Warney's boys. Johno go to pastures new in January. If you can't get in front of Ball & Yates you are surplus here.

Same old Rotherham losing to the bottom sides. lol Not getting too down in the dumps about it, was a little pissed off watching it though.

We need that next transfer window but don't think we'll go on too bad of a run before then though.

Well played Gills. Perfect away Performance. Early goal, then defended manfully. Looked like two mid-table teams to me. Not going to hammer the players, it just wasn't our day.

Mellowmiller. Yates was subbing mattock. 4th official put Mattocks number on the board. They got a corner so warne told official to hold on. Next stop in play was mattock being a pleb.
By the time they had sorted out who else to sub were 3.1 down..

    Regards the team.
Rodak imo is a good keeper though his confidence is in bits ATM. Conceded 6 goals in the 2 international games and 6 goals in 2 games since he's been back in a millers shirt. Bench him for 2/3 games.

Cumming is steady enough at RB but often finds himself isolated by Williams going inside. Ok today.

Ike n wood both had shockers today though Ike has been one of our better players this season. And wood steadied the ship ( usually).

Mattock. Said last year don't renew his contract. Fkin numpty.

Williams is that bit of flair. When it happens he's great to watch, if like today nothing happened for him. Ran down blind alley more than once.

Towell. Said it before. He needs 2/3 touches when one will do. Just lay it off n move. Simplez.

Potter. Mr reliable always got time but his only option today was pass sideways/backwards
    .
Newell. A bit like vaukes,. I'm not sure where his best position is. He can't tackle so why play him in the middle. His style makes him look lazy though I'm sure he gives 100% gets tired after 60 min.. Wonder why?

Forde. Last 15 minutes is when he's dangerous. We can't start him. He's a decent crosser of the ball WITH HIS RIGHT FOOT. So why start him on the left? Don't recall 1 cross today that beat the first man.

Moore. The lad is starting to look frustrated. A few times he ran the channels today and the pass was not good enough. He just looked at the floor n shook his head. Big Mick's comments could have effected him? Maybe

Ball. Will be a asset in a 442 formation but not with our style of play. Couldn't get into the game today

Taylor. Did nothing today in 1/2 hour he got. .

Yates. Why is he still here? Get him out on loan along with JCH then get shut in may.

I can see why warne played the team he did today as were still light in midfield. You could argue our best 5 midfielder that make a balanced side are. Williams, vaulks, frecks, potter and taylor. And I guess it's been proven with the points these five have got us this year.
Two of these didn't play today and two were coming back from injury so I'm not too Worried about the last 4 games form..

    Vs Crewe imo

    O'Donnell
    Cummins
    Ike
    Wood ( maybe ajayi)
    Hinds
    Williams
    Vaulks
    Wiles
    Potter
    Taylor
    Moore

From where I was sat, Yates was about to come on until a grumpy old bloke in the crowd jumped over the fence and stopped it. Don't know who it was but he was screaming at PW to "get JCH on, get JCH on, there's a player there"

Not a right lot to add to above but mentality of team at question. Gillingham arrived ready to fight and battle their way and with early boost of keeper assisted goal were worthy of their win, despite our puffing and blowing. I think we have the better quality players but without the right mentality for the game instilled from the manager, it can count for little.

However, we do have some decent quality at this level and is up to Warne to show his managerial chops by getting back to basics and reinstalling the defensive confidence that I thought was getting there as we beat Scunny.

Most likely scenario mid table but could push for play offs if Warne gets a grip.

And in fairness, that was first game in a while that I've not enjoyed, where we weren't at the races. Quite enjoyed the season so far (obviously compared to recent excursions!)

Kind of agree with this, their early goal gave them the belief, they'd also done their homework on Williams, let's face it the Gills did an excellent job on us and showed up our frailties to the full and we couldn't change our play to challenge. Forde is the scapegoat, but let's face it he was crossing with his wrong foot, on his right foot he generally delivers a decent ball, and yeh, Warne does like him because he works his socks off. A bad day at the office, move on, practice defending crosses lads, eh!
