And it's over. Australia win by an innings and 40+ runs.

The only question to be answered is:

    Will it be another 5-0

There we go. 0-3. I think we will have seen the last of some of the old guard players when this series ends

Just maybe they will be rested for the 4th test. See if the reserves can do a better job.

As rA suggested 'how the hell can you lose by an innings after being 360odd for 4 in the first innings'?? It's time they paid them on performances instead of on these guaranteed contracts NO MATTER HOW CRAP YOU ARE!! Cooke is probably the highest earner but based on performances in recent Ashes series would get diddley squat and quite right too!!
They have shamed the nation. Time they suffered public humiliation.....bring back the stocks!!

It may be that all was not as it seemed Mac...or so I’ve heard suggested.
Who of the ‘old guard’ would you want rid of, Andy?

Regretably, Cooke. Possibly Broad if it comes to pass that he really is scared of pace bowling now, OK he's a good to great bowler but we have lots of good bowlers who can score runs, he needs to stay great (if that makes sense)

Edit: and England cricket matters to me as much as The Rams do. Boycott summed it up today in response to someone saying, with 9 wickets down, 'the Ashes are almost over'. His response was 'The Ashes are never over'.....

The current government and the owner of Sky believe in market forces. Just maybe. If people stopped their subscriptions to Sky and all bought "sticks" or watched Mobdro or similar, income would fall and force subscription charges to drop too.
Ah the power of choice in a free market! The increasing fragmentation of TV for sport is a trend that will continue and I've already opted out, I won't pay several subscriptions for sport and watch the money inflate the pockets of already overpaid players and further contribute to the gap between the PL and the rest of the football league.

Personal protests are a waste of time, UK TV rights are only part of the worldwide equation.
