Shaping up nicely for next season...

Worrever we do this season now we should have a good basis of young contracted players for next season assuming Barnsley dont nab em of course.Ajayi, Iekwe, Vaulks, Palmer, Forde, Taylor, Newell, Bray, Williams, Smith, Ball, Purrington. Its unfortunate but Towell, Rodak and Emmanuel will be going back so they will need replacing. But we have a good basis for a good push next year. We will also get Procs back.

Looking promising if we can hang on to them all

Indeed, I'm still baffled as to why we let O'Donnell go.

We might find signing a decent keeper a bit difficult if Rodak isn't captured.

Depends what league we are in. Championship would say Ajayi Ihiewke Mattock Williams Vaulks Palmer good enough out of own players. Purrington, Hinds, Wiles & Bailey-King could come through. Still think JCH has more to offer than any of our current strikers.

Do you think Bray has it in him?

Get him out on loan before window shuts

Oh I agree I think JCH has more to offer but in my opinion he’s not improved at all since we got him. I used to defend him all the time saying he just needs the proper training but iv not seen any progress in his ability

Next season for me looks like

    New keeper
    Ihiewke Ajayi vaulks Mattock
    Williams Palmer Taylor newell
    Ball smith

What are you trying to do to me? Joke of a side!

If we are in league 1:

    New Keeper

New right back Ajayi New centre back Mattock

Williams Vaulks Palmer New left winger

    Strikers ?

    I do like Ihekwe...
Looking forward to seeing Palmer & I think Purrington could come on well if he had a good run in team.

I do like the look of ihiekwe, ajayi hinds and purrington as a progressive part of our future defence.
Cummings will prob be a better championship player though his body language on match days is not looking great.
I usually would say get a loud experienced Cb (not wood) in though ajayi should be wise enough next season.
Midfield. Centrally we have vaulks, potter and Palmer wiles and McGinley. I'm not sure potters legs will be any good next season. The injury he has now will raise its head again in the future..
Out wide we have Williams, Taylor, forde, bray, Newell.
I'm afraid bray is not going to make it. He's not improved over the past 12 month. Maybe it's injury's knocking him back. Who knows..

Uptop with Smith, Yates, proctor kayode, ball and JCH

A great league one squad. A big turn around in players needed if it's championship next year

Priority imo for warne is to try and sign 2 of the 3 loan players .. not going to be easy. Towell is the most likely though if he keeps playing like he did Tuesday then he's destination will be championship. Emmanuel will be at Ipswich next season.
rodak? I'd imagine will cost a lot though if we're in the championship I wouldn't bet against him being here next year

Agree Roly, this squad should get better, my only tinkering would be

    1) New keeper who commands the box and catches
    2) New right back
    3) coach Ike and Ajayi that they are not the second coming of Franz Beckenbauer and that 90 yard passes shouldnt be their first thought

A few additions to this team and it looks competitive...Well done Warney
