Aye they may have told Rafa this later but they made no gesture towards the bench to take them off.
I watched Gayle look peed right off most likely because he knew he had a chance of a hat trick.

I could believe Ritchie had a bit of cramp but again he didn't show it.
Kenedy didn't just look unfit (for some strange reason) he looked half interested for half of the game and even had to be bullied into taking the corner.

Shelvey, it appears is injured and it makes sense as to why his challenges left him holding his knees. Maybe he was injured at that time.
The issue is, did he have the injury before the first challenge and inability to catch his man or was he spent of energy or was he playing lazy?

I'd say an injury or energy spent because the lad grafted his nuts off.

As for Kenedy, he better not be a flash in the pan.

read the match report on NUFC.COM. Rafa states that Gayle had complained of a tight hamstring so a substitution had to be made.

don't let the truth spoil your agenda though..

did he go to the changing room straight away when he came off

they usually get led away by the medical staff and get ice etc compressed onto the muscle injury
seems very strange if this didnt happen

    rather unprofessional in fact

rafas post match interview he doesnt mention gayles injury
he does say due to the amount of defending they had done they became tired

even when he talks about gayles 2 goals he doesnt mention his hamstring

he does say if you get the ball into the box he will score

but doesnt say anything about his injury

I don't trust Rafa. He's a manager that blames everything but himself.
