Whatever TV deal is on the table we will have to accept but it will level the playing field .
Remember not so long ago in the late 80s, when Itv used to have the rights to the original First division, they classed Man Ure, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, & Everton as the 'top 5' teams. Chelsea & Man City however were nowhere to be seen in those days when it came to winning that league title. In fact they were both with us in the Second division in 1988-89.

Yeah I remember man city laiking 3rd division football in the late 90s. Don't get me wrong they were always a decent sized club as Chelsea were but multibillionaire owners coupled with massive investment has made them what we see today-European contenders.

And that was an absolute scandal how Man City were allowed to claw their way back into that Lg One play off final against Gillingham, I think they were 2 down and about 7 minutes were added on. What a surprise eh, and they won on pens.
Wigan might have put them out of the Fa cup recently but Ive got no time for them either when you look at what they have achieved because of a billionaire owner. in fact they and Fulham were both in the bottom division back in the early 00's, before the money was spent.

I think that’s the only way any club can climb the football ladder Acido . Maybe only Burnley booked the trend but they got to the Premier League just in time for the daft Sky money . There are not many others so unless you get a rich owner who’s willing to pump daft funds in you’d get the same teams in pretty much the same order every season right down the Premier League and Championship and that would becoming boring in itself .

You’d never get a Bournemouth, Brighton , Wigan, Portsmouth etc ever going up to the top division and it would be the same clubs every season

I do admire people like Dave Whelan though Esr, hes earned his money fairly through business over the years, and he obviously loves his sporting teams in Wigan.
Remember the late Jack Walker when he bankrolled his hometown club Blackburn to promotion, and then to the Premship title in the mid 90s. And now look at them eh, theres quite a difference.
And I mentioned Fulham, remember when Micky Adams won promotion there from Lg Two, but Al Fayed sacked him and appointed the partnership of both Kevin Keegan & Jean Tigana!!.
Some of these rich owners are more money than sense arent they.

The thing is, we’re about to explode in India and the Far East which will give us billions of quids from marketing. I’d like that to be the point where when we are offered a sky game we tell them to **** off and put Leeds on again.
