    I love this lad.

Proper captain, says it how it is, backs his manager, is clearly proud to represent us/the club, is a great leader on the pitch and a fantastic example to the young fans. In fact i'd have to say im more impressed with him as a captain than Shearer given his age and that he isnt a local lad. We HAVE to keep him and reading between the lines he would be off if the right bid came in (I'm sure there would be plenty of suitors) if Rafa is treated shabbily again.

have to agree. im impressed with him too.

mind Frank Clark did say (before he came good for us) that Lascelles will be a world class player in time. Interestingly he wasn't so sure about darlow, he had his doubts about him - and that was when darlow was actually looking good. !

    Agree with both of you.

I also read that between the lines. He's happy to stay but that is because we have a world class manager who is helping improve him. Lose Rafa, Lascelles will consider his position.

He's a in a strong position at the minute in regards this, with all the linked moves to Chelski etc.

Chelsea is not a bad shout though. Christensen has looked shaky lately but I'm sure he will come good and become world class. By that time though Cahill will be too old and they will need a new anchor in central defence. I'm sure we can keep him for a couple of seasons, but he's definitely off if we're not showing progress.

Another shoite article from the Chronic!!!
Copy n paste again, surely the Chronicle should be asking these questions?
Saying that like,I listened to a true faith podcast featuring Mick lowes, its really worth a listen to as why he retired..
One of his reasons was that you had access to all players once upon a time. Now you are TOLD whom you may speak to...
    Cu nts.

Chronicle banging on again about a Chelsea bid in the summer. They are slipping now and Conte wont be there next season. If (please, please, please) we are sold and Rafa stays I don't see any reason for Lascelles to want to leave. He is clearly happy is captain, there is a good team spirit that he has helped instil and will then see that the club means business. Aye some might say 'be careful what you wish for' with new owners, but he is young enough that if the new owners weren't good and we weren't progressing he could leave.

I think things is looking up!!!

if he went to chelsea it would be for the bench

he cant even get into an england squad and chelsea will have a list of proven top internationals to go for

he is good but he aint great
has he fulfilled his true poential

    i would say no

that is why he may want to leave
    not because of rafa
but because he wants to be around better players ,thats where you learn

All our better players will always be touted and the elites will get them if they so desire...and there's nothing we can do about it except to price them as high as possible.
That's the reality and it will always be like that for as long as this money sickness is ongoing.

People can blame Ashley all they want but this applies to every club outside the elite clubs.
