Now Pardew has gone

It's not a problem for me to say that I had a very good time as a NUFC supporter the season we finished fifth. Why wouldn't I? Things were going well, the players and the manager were doing a good job. No one can take that away from them.

It's the following seasons that proved just how talentless Pardew is as a manager, and it's natural to then think that finishing fifth was somewhat of a fluke, especially looking at his record since leaving. Not only was he not up to the task of keeping the team somewhat up to speed in the Premier League; he had us in a relegation battle almost straightaway! Since then he had a couple of decent Novembers and that's about it.

Giving Pardew a contract of eight years was just...wow. Unbelievable. It's still a mystery that we were actually able to get a compensation fee for him.

You don't get manager of the year on a fluke.

Then McClaren.
Zola.
Lawrie Sanchez.
Mark Hughes.
Paul Jewel.
Ian Dowie.
Peter Reid.

There's plenty more and plenty of managers that he's as good as, pound for pound.

Let's put it in simple terms. He's not the worst ever manager by a long long way and there is absolutely no reason that I can think of for anyone to hate the man.
However, anyone can do what they feel is best for them in hating him or whatever.
I don't think he deserves it....especially from Newcastle fans who not too far into the distant past were begging him not to take the England job.

But are we not talking about classier managers where you bracket Pardew and say you would prefer him to Rafa. How about naming some of that standard.

Even some of those rubbish managers you list I would have above Pardew.

Leicester won the Prem recently but that was a one, but as you say not a fluke, off and they aren't ranked among the top teams in this country.

Remember Pardew had had some world class players to work with so compare the Cabayes, the BenArfas, Wijnaldum, Colo,Sissoko,Krul, Tiote, Cisse,Anita, etc.

What do you think Rafa would achieve with those names.

I'm not the one who is twisting. That is down to GhostWilf. he was putting Pardew on a pedestal and then putting up a list of the dregs instead of decent class managers who he claimed Pardew was amongst.

Actually, that’s exactly how he got it... a whole bunch of teams under-performed and we had the least injuries in any Prem season we have ever had BY FAR... it was the definition of fluke!

You did not. You were classing Pardew as a class manager then you list a whole lot of has beens, of which Pardew would be in the middle.
