Still tight on the run in

Top three not in doubt but it's any team for the last 3.

A 7 point gap is good on 7th place but we still have Wigan and Plymouth away to contend with. I feel we have done enough for the play offs.

Officially today we cannot win the title.

    Blackburn. 40 39 85

    Wigan. 39 51 83

    Shrewsbury 40 22 81

    Rotherham 41 17 69

    Plymouth. 40 5 63

    Charlton 40 6 62

    Portsmouth 41 3 62

    P'boro. 41 13 61

    S****horpe 41 9 61

Oh well, we'll have to win the Championship next season.

We have taken 6 points of them this season. Would swap them for Charlton.

I'd say we've done enough too. Because of our superior goal difference, if we win a game, Portsmouth will have to win 4 of the next 5 to catch us. If we pick up 2 wins, they will have to win all 5. Peterborough and scunny could maybe catch us on goal difference, but neither team are in good form. I always thought those free scoring early season wins would be important.

Plymouth have Portsmouth to play next week, they both can't win.
They also have Scun.thorpe away and with Scunny's poor recent form having them drop out of the play-offs they will be battling for all three points. No easy games and no ' gimmes ' either.

It's in our own hands, one win and one draw should see us in the play-offs.
Chuffed to bits to be proved wrong pre-season in predicting 8th place finish....
