    The Wembley Issue

So the FA are considering selling Wembley to an American, with the veiled intention of making it the home of an NFL team.

Despite being probably the biggest fan of NFL here, I’m not comfy with it, even ignoring that the FA might well not make best use of the proceeds. I want to be walking past a statue of Bobby Moore when I approach the ground, not some running back

    Anyone?

Sell it for me and build another one near Birmingham, where it should have been built in the first place

I don't care what they do with it.

But I want the tax payers money and the lottery fund returned and going to good causes. Not some FA pillocks bonus scheme.

Yes good point, taxpayer to FA to billionaire doesn’t seem fair

Any proceeds to be reinvested in the grass roots of the game and build upwards for the eventual benefit of the national side and game in general.

No and neither do I want Camelot getting hold of it either. I have never forgotten their first pay out. Over £17 m to the Royal Ballet

Might as well have the NFL play there than Spurs. It's joke that a team in the Prem gets the National Stadium. NFL is quite popular plus it'll be the first overseas team, a lot of interest and I expect full crowds with those from the continent making the short trip.
