proper supporters dont give up season ticket because of bad owners
you support the lads on the field
    through thick and thin
tell me did you watch the toon when mckeag was in charge
or even the latter years of sheppard and co ??

the ones who spent money we didnt have and for ash buying them out would have bankrupt the club
the same ones who sold their beloved toon to him

    shocking

However, it appears to me that Rafa wanted more then french players and looked at his own I suspect extensive network. Indeed I recall Alan Pardew complaining that he was not allowed to choose his players hence he benched a few that have come good elsewhere. So a good hands on manager probably ment sacrifices re the club and Carr was a casualty of that regime change.

I am not replying to the OP headed title as it is way off the mark. "pboro" when he wants can put together an argument (regardless of how he presents it) but this OP is not it.

Rafa has more than justified a few more years with control over transfers, signings and negotiations on those fronts.

For what it is worth, that's my humble opinion on Carr and transfers.
rafa to my knowledge has never been in charge of transfers at any english club he has managed

he might of had a say

and i wouldnt have minded if rafa who continually threatens to walk away had slowly introduced his own network of scouts etc

but to wipe it all out so quick shows me rafa is all about himself and how rafa looks

and has certainly as the thread suggests taken us back many years on this front

if he walks say to west ham etc which he will if they offer more money

then we are left with nothing in place

    and all for rafas vanity

From some one who claims to know about football. NO, Fatty has set us back not years but decades and Rafa, despite Fatty's restrictions is dragging us back to where we should never have been twice relegated from.
the only consistant we had in the club was the scouting network which many people in footy at the time admired

and i agree the day ash appointed rafa he did set us back years

right back to the 90,s when rafa style suited

    not now

Yet you say in your post two above this one (post 32) that RAFA HAS NEVER BEEN IN CHARGE OF TRANSFERS.

Can you make your mind up as you have constantly blamed him for transfers brought in.

In my opinion you can't make your mind up whether you are decisive or indecisive.

What a dilemma for some one so addicted to windups.

what has that got to with anything though?
It makes no sense considering he's been at the club for 11 years and yet Rafa is appointed and now, after all the arguing for what Rafa's achieving, you decide to give up your season ticket citing Ashley as your excuse.
It makes no rational sense to me, although you're quite entitled to do as you wish.
I just find is at odds to be fair.

So Rafa got rid of Carr? How do we know that? Did Ashley and Charnley suddenly decide to let Rafa run the club for a day? I don't doubt that Rafa didn't want to take control of transfers himself but we all know who makes the decisions at SJP. Nice way to trim the staff wage bill and Ashley won't hesitate.

How he managed to think Rivière was a decent striker I will never know, even watching clips of him on U tube made Joselu look world class.

at other clubs he hasn't been in charge so why put him in sole charge here
