or if Newell is playing well in the championship he will sign a pre contract with another club months before his contract runs out with a nice big signing on fee.(which should of been going to the club as the fee for him)

Joe Newell is keeping his options open, why wouldn't he.
All the club can do is offer him a reasonable deal and hope he accepts. The club can't force a player to sign.
What would you like the club to do booths ? Break the wage budget for one player.

Personally I’d sell him if he don’t want to sign a new deal. One thing that gets me is good players going on free transfer

Newell wants championship football and he will now sign a new contract when the club/Newell get round to it

A little light reading for you. I think that you will find that any approach to a contracted player is "verboten"

Also, why do you think that "should of" rather than "should have" is grammatically correct?

    Interesting.

I am merely putting another scenario down that could happen to the one were everything is rosy.

I think if Newell said to the club I want to sign they would get it wrapped up not let it drag on.

I think people are been a bit naive thinking Newell isn't chancing his arm.

He is free to talk to another team once he has 12 month left of his contract as part of the Bozman ruling. If we're not doing well int Championship then he'll leave.

If it gets to Jan and we have a chance of staying up but we get an offer for him do you think the club will be happy to let his contract run down if he's playing well in the hope that we'll stay up?

We will have had seen one of the best players in a Millers shirt for a long, long while.
