I know its premature.

But i have to say , so far this has been my favourite world cup to watch.

Upsets, drama & some good football thoroughly enjoying it !

For everything that was said leading up to this world cup, it seems (so far) that Russia has done a really good job at hosting.

It's certainly been full of drama and excitement, I'll say that.
I also agree that Russia has done a sterling job of hosting it. It's almost flawless.

Russia was always going to do a good job as this Putin showing himself off to the international world. If any Russian citizen ****s up i'd of felt very sorry for them.

I don't in anyway buy this is how Russia usually is when the world media glare is on them all the time inside and outside hte country.

Surprised their hasn't been any mention at all of hooliganism yet, the media have all probably had their orders to button it. As you say, Putin will oversee with an iron fist to make sure Russia is seen in a good light. Very good WC so far.

All of the known hooligans are probably in Siberia or have been threatened with that if from outside Russia.
