    Jack Colback

Think he could do a job in midfield
    Out of favour at Newcastle

the players I’m hearing we are after solid championship players which is probably not a bad idea but we will need some class with it
So I’m hoping we can keep hold of the spine of our premiership players

Colback is a Honest solid player with good energy levels.
But as you say we need quality as well and he’s no Luka Modric.
But yes i'd take him. But it does show just low my expectation has dived in the last 12 months
Last year we were looking at William Silva de Carvalho and the like

If we're after a player in the Jack Colback mould, but who can perhaps offer that something extra in terms of distribution, then I can't help but think Ryan Woods would be better in the long term. Four years younger, mobile, has an eye for a pass and snaps into the tackle. Good hungry young player who's value should rise in the foreseeable whereas Colback's value will only ever decrease.

    Gew gerrim.

Totally agree. Whatever happened to the Woods/Sawyer Brentford talk?

I'm told by somebody not even remotely ITK that it's just that for now chap, talk. Apparently our Monitoring Department are mulling over whether to pass their findings on to the Stalking Department.

They in turn, but only after very careful consideration of course, will then decide whether to enter into dialogue with our Fkn About Department before returning the whole thing to the Monitoring Department as either or both players join other clubs.

    Wash, rinse, repeat........ allegedly .

Thank God for that, I thought we'd just lost interest.

I’ve not seen much of Woods and hear good things
But I think We need someone who will hit the ground running and I’m not sure a team full of young uns will do that

I really hope Sam Field gets a chance next year. He deserves it, didn't put a foot wrong all of last season. Somehow barely played any minutes.

I would also be keen to throw some of the young un's in the deep end. See if they can swim...

I like how youthful England's team are, its giving us a bit of oomph at the World Cup. Also the fans get behind a younger player more than a veteran rocking up for his last pay day.

So Wilson, Leko, Edwards, Field, maybe Harper if he's deemed ready, I would give them all a chance to prove themselves next season.

Agreed I’d rather Field played ahead of Barry
