    Injuries .......

4 games into a new season and already injuries loom large.

    Williams
    Davenport
    Dack
    Armstrong
    Palmer

Our bench last night was very weak. Ok, we got away with one as luckily it was only Reading.
I would not want to going any length of time without key players like this. And more will pile up, plus injuries and suspensions.
We desperately need to strengthen and freshen this squad up.

I keep getting told we have a solid squad over 30 players. I'm not so sure a lot of these lads aren't good enough.
Hopefully we get a few over the line in the next few days. Or this is going to a long and difficult season ahead.
Its a part of football, you get injuries, you get suspensions, but you also have to strengthen a squad.
After losing those key players, all at once, we don't look anything like we did away at Hull on Sat.

A long spell without Dack and Armstrong and I would be concerned.

    bad news on the updates.

We have gone from Dack's injury isn't too bad - to he will likely be missing for another 2 weeks at least. Big concern.

Armstrong is likely to be out a similar length of time. Again we are told it isn't too bad, but look at Dack.

Palmer should be close to contention for Saturday.

Williams will be out for a few matches yet.

Samuel is now expected to be out for quite sometime with a really bad knee injury.

    All very concerning!
Considering Conway had to play last night. And was his usual self. Not good enough.
He didn't fancy Travis again. That's worrying.

Hart was on the bench to make up the numbers. That's worrying.

Raya keeps making mistakes. He was at fault (slightly) for the first.
And was poor for the second. I'm unsure if he will be good enough. And has nobody pushing him. That's a concern.

And we haven't even started getting suspensions yet. The current squad isn't good enough, and it will catch up with them over a whole season if we don't address this now. We would consolidate, if we kept everyone fit.

Smallwood isn't good enough, again last night proved that. Its great he is being given game time to stay loyal, but the lad is on borrowed time. Yes I like him, but my club is Rovers. And I don't ant a return to Div1.

This whole attitude of accepting we will struggle is gutless. We need to push on.

The harsh reality is, its impossible and ridiculous luck to not get any. And if we do, we could be struggling to do aswell as to consolidate unfortunately.

The team spirit is excellent, but the more depleted we get, that will soon catch up. And of course, soon we will start playing the decent sides in this division. We haven't thus far.

But the same thing will happen to other clubs, Champs. It's not just us.
Are you honestly saying that, via loans, we can get four or five more players who are significantly better than the ones we've got?
Why are they being allowed to go, then?

It seems highly unlikely we'll be bringing in 4 or 5 players to me now after all this time, where we could have done. Whatever you choose to believe, to me I think opportunity knocks for our young prospects.

I believe nuttall had a decent cameo Vs Reading.

Saxo - I think he's looked decent in every brief spell he's had this season.
If he does go out on loan to - say - a D.1 team, I hope he gets lots of games, because there is some talent there.

The situation isn't great I will give you that but can we leave the worrying until we know for sure on the injury front.
Now on David raya he was at fault for possibly 2 goals but let's not forget he helped us achieve 2 clean sheets previous to this,so this is not yet something too concerning.
I too share your sentiments on the continued lack of trust in Lewis Travis we look to a player in rodwell to push Smallwood.
I truly am amazed that we could be signing ANOTHER midfielder as well in Harrison reed while our attack looks threadbare.
