In my lifetime I have never seen Kilmarnock win the league. Aberdeen have, a few times. Kilmarnock currently are punching above their weight because they have a very good manager. We are doing mediocre with a mediocre manager. We are not even trying to win trophies. When we get to a final we don’t exactly go for it. Steve Clarke could change that as he has a better record against Brendan.

No it's not I'm afraid. Rodgers has 101 points from 49 games and Clarke 94 points from 50 games since he has been in the country.

I think you are thinking of the calendar year 2018 when he picked up most points albeit from more games than Rodgers

It will be good for Del to go abroad and top up his tan and grow his beard as it will give him some time away from worrying about the dreaded transfer window. Absolute tosh...did Ferguson tell his team to contain Celtic/Rangers and ask his forwards to man mark players as the game was getting played? Did he heck...he told them to get right at them and show them we were better than they thought.
McInnes is an absolute sh!tebag of a manager against Celtic and an absolute embarrassment as he sets his team up to only try to keep Celtic quiet. What kind of pathetic tactics are these...not a winning one that is for sure.

Why do insist on comparing now with the 80's. We wouldn't have kept the players he had then cause Celtic and rangers would have bought them or they would have moved down south sooner. Waste of time comparing the 2 era's.

I cannot be @rsed looking back to see what my original reply was fully about. It’s only okay to compare McInnes to Ferguson when a stat works in Del’s favour to make him seem better than he is? Derek McInnes In future history books of Aberdeen FC will be comparable to the likes of Roy Aitken because he won the league cup but not as good as Alex Smith/Jocky Scott because they won 2 trophies and certainly not as good as Alex Ferguson who won many a trophy and made sure we were the top club in Scotland ( he didn’t make excuses he made results).

Whenever I check in here and I read one of your posts I quickly remember why it has been so long since my last visit.

Considering there are a couple of posters who get pelters and entire threads dedicated to them for talking sh*te all the time, I'm amazed you get a free pass. But it seems to work for you so keep doing what you're doing I guess.

I went through a period of posting quite a lot but then the forum became predominantly a place to b*tch about McInnes and I've pretty much said everything I have to say on that subject. It's not as though I'm going to change anyone's mind or particularly care to.

But I am somewhat impressed that you manage to include the obligatory swipe at McInnes in nearly every single post (even Mason changes it up a bit as there are at least six people he hates at any given time). I can't help but feel a slight sense of awe at such dogged persistence to the pursuit of the inane.
