Following the last minute breakdown of his move from Mr Lee's other club, OGC Nice, to Marseilles in August Balotelli is still desperate to leave. His agent has been touting him round top European clubs for a move this January and even Newcastle are reported to be involved.
There are no reports, as yet, of a Balotelli move to Mr Lee's other club, Barnsley FC, where a number of squad vacancies may arise in the next few weeks.
