I certainly wouldn't take Levein over McInnes but let's go back to how this conversation started, which was who would replace McInnes if he left for Scotland and I suggested Lennon. Despite the clear baggage that would come with Lennon, he is a winner and he had hibs playing attractive football and he much more than McInnes has sussed out how to beat celtic and it was most certainly not by trying to play a containment game. Tell me if I'm wrong

He’s had a couple of pops at online fans before & I know when Zander Dianond was at AFC under McGhee (remember him?) he said that the players loved looking in on here & AFc Chat. Can’t imagine that’s changed much.

If you were McInnes & you saw a thread with your name in it, you’d look in. Human nature & he strikes me as a slightly more arrogant @rsehole than most

I guess what I really meant by being a winner is his mindset and character both as a player and as a manger, never settling for second best and always looking to win games of football. I'm not one of those (yet) looking for McInnes to be sacked but his mindset is much more cautious and looks to avoid defeat first of all before looking to win games

Not sure if loved is the right word,all the players and managers will see on here and the hat is people constantly criticising them so it can’t do their confidence any good.

And yes I remember McGhee,he was the guy that was in charge when it was enjoyable to go to the football according to some on here.

I think part of the issue that celtic fans have with Lennon is they see him as the cheap alternative so equate him getting the job with the Board not splashing out much on new players whereas many are believing the tosh that the weegie press are feeding them that they will land a Benitez/Martinez/Villas Boas type manager who would demand huge money be spent on the squad.

As a matter of interest why would you not want him as Aberdeen manager? Is it his management abilities or the baggage that comes with him?
