i have to agree with you Leicester. I cannot help but feel increasingly pessimistic.
What the devil is going on? It's becoming an absolute farce. Do they have any plan as to what they are looking for in a Head Coach. It doesn't look like it as they appear to be lurching from one candidate to another. How long does it take to get it sorted out? Other clubs can organise it quickly so why can't we? It does look like the same old problem and that is that we aren't prepared to pay the going rate. I'm as loyal a fan as the next person but I'm becoming angry at the inertia at the club. It's all very well saying that we are taking our time to get the right man in place but as I say, I'm convinced it's the finances that is holding matters up. For God's sake, get your act together and sort it out, and soon.

On the basis that Appleton was bought in to support Shan and as Shan won't be getting the job, why is Appleton still there? Just a thought like....
I still wonder if it is this whole thing around head coach as against Manager. The likes of Shan and Moore fit the head coach model because they aren’t really experienced enough to be trusted with decisions regarding who we buy and who we sell. This gives the power to the likes of Dowling and Jenkins and the others representing Mr Lai.
The Managers for want of a better word, the likes of Hughton, Pulis, Pardew, Pearson, Jankovic, Bilic et al want a big say in the transfers both ways. At the moment in my view the squad needs a big overhaul and who is best placed to do that, Dowling, Jenkins and the money men or a senior Manager, with the final say with the Jenkins.
As I have no confidence in the powers that be in the club I would rather we brought in someone experienced who could do the squad overhaul rather than go with a head coach. The problem is the Manager type will cost more and there we have the problem. The head coach is cheaper option and still keeps complete control in the hands of the likes of Dowling and Jenkins.
Can someone tell me before they talk to these managers why don't they ask what salary would they want it would save a lot of time the same with players,it happens all the time at wba we talk for ages only to hear they couldn't agree terms it would cost to much
I bet if there's a fire drill at the hawthorns the assembly point is empty.
At the end of the day I think we all know it's going to be the cheapest option going, whether it's Appleton or some other no hoper, this club is on a downward spiral, we could quite easily do a Sunderland unfortunately. Not to try and sign Gayle shows the height of our ambition, where are we going to replace JRod and Gayles goals next season, even having the prolific Robson Kanu won't be enough.

Could not agree more although would do a slight tweek - " even having the prolific Robson-Kanu won't be enough " - for the 3rd team! The guy is simply s hite!
PS - what are the odds for relegation next year
Lastly - go f uck yourself Lai and take your two puppets with you too!
Regarding Jenkins and Dowling, they had the audacity to say the tea ladies etc would have to lose their jobs if cost cutting wasn't put in place, how about those clowns being on performance related pay, we then would have more than enough cash to fund Gayle.
