You can't play someone who can't do a job because there is no one to replace him. You are just delaying the inevitable!!
I don't agree that he is dropped unless the management know his confidence is shot. Root ain't a number three but he won't be dropped!
We are bereft of quality top order batters but the selectors know the county game way better than me and it's their job to come up with an answer!!
