We were playing some excellent football against the likes of Groningen and Rijeka MKII. Granted a couple of cup finals/semis haven't been good enough but still a successful period.

He either needs to pull his finger all the way out or go somewhere else now though. His transfer dealings have been waiting to bite the club on the arse for a few seasons and seems to be catching up with us now. The hun job thing was an utter shambles and we have stalled in europe. Only good thing going for him at the moment is that it's early days in the season. Never has a game at home to Ross County had so much riding on it.
Absolutely this! Most accurate post on here for a while! Thanks, Mondo

    Agreed

But I don't think the fact we are early doors in the season is relevant. Havent won in 90 minutes in 5 games and only score 1 from open play in that time.We have problems that are nothing to do with what time in the season it is

Mondo, you say “never has a game with Ross County had so much riding on it”.

    I don’t agree.
Purely for the reason that Milne is NOWHERE near sacking McInnes.
I doubt it’s even entered his head.
McInnes isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, unless we’re beaten by Hearts in the League Cup and out the top 6 at New Year.
Even then, I think he’s here for this season at the very least.
So even a defeat tomorrow won’t change anything.

    Stranger danger.

And we will have the same problems at the end of the season. With the same sh*te manager, the same hun sympathising masonic, clueless, unambitious chairman and the same weegie supporting authorities.

I wasn't really meaning a win tomorrow and Dereks job is safe it was more that usually before a game against county it would be more relaxed but this time it feels more like squeaky bum time and no one is really that confident that we will beat them.

    Aye, true.
Strangely, them getting humped 4-1 off Livi will make them defend like f**k tomorrow & we’re sh1t at breaking teams down.
Wouldn’t be surprised if it was 0-0

For what it's worth I think we will win tomorrow. Not sure it'll be pretty but I think we'll win. Looking at the fixtures we are kinda set up pretty well for going in to the cup game. County tomorrow, then St Johnstone - could be interesting, Livi then hearts in the cup before the huns down at thon sh*tehole.

F*ck sake Derek lets get us firing on all cylinders going through these games.

    to europe and beyond...ah sh*te!

If there was one thing we learned from the New Firm match yesterday is that if you harass and put pressure on the man with the ball and hunt down the ball in twos and threes then Sevco will struggle (and I've thought the similar is true of Celtic).

But what will McInnes do at the end of September when he goes to Ibrox? Will he take heed of what happened yesterday or will he play with six or seven defenders and try to nick something at a set play?

You know what he'll do and we'll get our arse handed to us. Will never change.
