Donk have also lost players and not signed many. A few of our fans seem to be blaming our form because we've signed too many new players

Having said that I've every confidence PW will have sorted it by the tenth league match.
Disappointing so far but onwards and upwards literally.
3-1 vs Bolton and a first home win
Interesting to note that you (and many others) never predict a score where we don’t concede

It's a long season and this isn't the PL and your Man City or Liverpool when a couple of defeats early doors just about ends your chances for the season .

Portsmouth were 12 points in front of us at xmas last year and didn't even make the play off final .

Up till xmas all you need to do is keep in touch because the second half of the season is where it's at .

We wobbled at various times and questions were getting asked about our credentials , we actually dropped to 7th in early december after a 1-0 defeat at Wycombe where we played horribly .

It really is a marathon and not a sprint but I do think Warne needs to be more offensive orientated if you are to succeed this season .

Agree 100% with that. Attack attack attack is what will win more games than we lose this season plus it does not help trying to defend when you know you cant!

Exactly! Weren't Barnsley around the relegation zone at Christmas a few years ago and then ended up getting promoted through the play offs? To write us off after 5 games in this league is madness.

Rock bottom in the first week of December after 9 consecutive league defeats plus a FA cup exit at Altrincham .

Sounds like we edged the first hour, but failed to kill them off. Our old failing of conceding late goals, has come back to haunt us. All the experts say wait for ten games to make a judgement, and that's what I'll do.
You said it..i agree..warney was being slagged off the last time in this league in december..then all the loose mouths were cheering at wembley..theres plenty of time for us yet..stick with it..

If we take the emotion out of it and just look at the stats, Warney's win record stands at 30%. If you look at the records of all our previous managers who lasted at least a season and Warne is the worst since, well ever. I don't think that means that he should be sacked at the moment but I don't think fans should be criticized for asking questions. For me Warne is a top class man manager but has never been much of a 'tactical' manager. I think I could count on my fingers the number of times he has made a change in a game that has turned it in our favour.
I didn't go to Wimbledon but in the games I have seen I am still waiting to be entertained, there seems to be no pattern of play, we look unfit and most bizarrely of all, we aren't creating as many chances against weaker opposition than we did last season in the championship. It is early that is true but this 'wait for the team to gel' stuff doesn't wash with me at all. Most teams in the league these days have a high turnover each summer so I don't see that as an excuse.
The next two games are huge. If we were to lose at home to Bolton then I think you will start to see the crowd turn, Sunderland after that will be tough but they are beatable. Four points and we are off and running, zero points and the pressure will be on Warne big style.

I would hate to see Warny fall by the wayside because I think he truly has the Millers in his heart but I just wish he would go of his own accord and get some tactical help as well as a defensive coach.

Tony good points. What I will do is to extend it to the next three games. Bolton - 9 new players and hopefully they've not gelled yet so possible points to be had.

Sunderland - tough game but we are more than capable of taking a point in this game. They've pulled no trees up yet.

Shrewsbury - We've already tonked them in a cup game and see no reason why all three points can't be taken in this game, providing Warne cuts out the 3 up front!

IF he fails to take any points from these games then serious questions are sure to be asked about his ability to manage us going forward. I truly hope it all clicks soon for him as he deserves a go, but fans are so fickle and Chairmen a lot less, even if they are 'good buddies'.

We will have played 9 games at the end of the Shrews game so he should have a more general idea of what formation he intends to use going forward if he intends to keep his job.

Patience is called for but Warne has a lot on his plate to ponder going forward.
