    Top man our Bomber.

Got to the ground and asked if Tony Brown had arrived yet. The steward said you have just miss him.
Told him i wasn't hoping to get Tony Brown debut programme signed and i had another one for Tony.
The steward said he would go up to the media room and get it signed and give the other one to Tony.
5 minutes later Bomber come down to thank me he was so pleased and my nephew and i had our photo and chat with him.

Great story, love it, the man’s first class.

I was at a Duncan Edwards tribute dinner recently and a few Albion ex players were there.

On arrival we queued at the bar for a drink, we stood around chatting and Ally Robertson appeared. He weaved his way to the bar, my old man was asking him a few Albion related questions, he was trying to answer but never took his eye off the bar staff. I could see he was getting irritated by the questions and the fact the bar staff appeared to be serving one end of the bar only seemed to wind him up even more.

He took himself off up the other end of bar making me think my old man had annoyed him. He spotted a two pints for one offer above the bar on a notice board, I thought typical Jock!😁
He eventually got served, we virtually forgot about him, next thing you know he appears right next to us carrying two pints and finished answering all the questions my old man had asked him in great detail. To top it off, another Albion fan joined us and he gave him one of his pints!

We had a good old rattle and it was great to hear how he mentioned a lot of concerns that we all share. We mentioned about something Bomber had said on the radio. Interestingly he said that he was offered that job first but declined it, Bomber then said he’d be happy to have a go.

Great pair of Albion legends, top class.

He’s always been a nice down to earth bloke we were privileged to have him here.

Got another program in the post today. Ronnie Allen's debut game v Wolves 1950 ,he scored and we drawed 1-1 and it was also the record attendance for a league game just over 60k, the highest was in the cup v Arsenal over 64k
My wife thinks i'm mad, buying them. Lost most of my old collection when i left home, Dad put them in a box in the shed.
The other week got Duncan Edwards England debut plus ticket and his last England game.

I can only agree with the comments here. Met Bomber at a local pub in my village as they hosted a night and meal with him. Top man. Also, Ally Rob used to drink at a local pub. Again, top man. Both legends who never lost the common touch unlike so many of today’s Premier League players
