Wuthering Heights.......for me,still the most unique and spine tingling track by a female artist of all time.

When you consider she wrote this and “The man with the child in his eyes” when she was 13/14 years old it’s even more astounding.

As a 16-17 year old back in 78-79 I was madly in love with Kate......,I saw a bird who looked just like her at The Kingfisher in Kingswinford and after about three hours of building my courage up I went over and asked her for a date.

I’ve never quite so bluntly been told to “**** Off” yet I still idolised Kate.

We don’t see enough of her genius these days,

Loved her music so much that I named one of my greyhounds Babooshka after one of her great hits. Never reached the heights that she did though!

I quite liked a couple of her songs, never bought ant of her records. Some of my favourite female singers are Linda Ronstadt, Sheryl Crow and Emmylou Harris. No doubt some will disagree with me, it’s a good job that there is so much choice to satisfy us all!

don’t know about mis crow but the other 2 definitely,along with sandy deny, Carole king,pat benatar,yes so much choice.
