Didn’t we beat Birmingham away on a Thursday after beating Brizzle Rovers at home? First Warnock playoff season?

Thornhill became Rotherham County. Town were Thornhill's rivals.
Phoenix were a works outfit.
It was definitely Rotherham Town that we beat 15-0, they are listed at "Rotherham T" in the newspapers at the time so somebody must have confused them with Thornhill since and it's then been corrected again.
Rotherham United took County's league place and used the same ground, so United are largely a continuation of County but diluted a little with Town. It makes sense to merge Thornhill, County and United's results together and treat them as one club whilst Town should be considered a separate entity.

Thanks for the update upthemaggies, I just seem to remember all the Rothman's yearbooks in the 70's & into the 80's used to say Thornhill for biggest victory when I used to like to know all the records like biggest win, loss, points, crowd, transfers, gate receipts etc. Keep them coming as I forgot about the quiz & saw it when it was all over.
Other way around. Birmingham on Tuesday, Bristol Rovers at home on the Thursday.
We played Reading away the following Thursday but drew that one.
Notts' preferred Thursdays for home midweek games until 1966. All Thursday home games since have been Boxing Day fixtures or re-arranged games that couldn't be played Tuesday or Wednesday.
Yes, Wigan was where Warnock had a go at a supporter who was slagging him or the team off after full time, they had nothing left in the tank after 4 games in 8 days including two brilliant victories against play-off rivals, we also beat Cardiff the previous Saturday which was the first time the Wheelbarrow was ever sung at Meadow Lane, we managed a draw at Wigan but had to keep winning for any chance of auto. Must be one of the craziest weeks in Notts history in terms of such important games played in such a short space of time. The Rovers game was fantastic, would definitely be in my top ten all time.
If I remember rightly the game at Wigan eas also unusual because Wigan were at Wembley in the Rugby League final. There were about 1,800 Notts fans in a crowd of about 2,500 so it was quite surreal. The good news was it was a nice dry sunny day so no sliding on your ar5e down that grass bank!
Agreed the win over BR was a cracking game.
Lowest crowd we've ever played in front of away to Wigan, also the last time we 'scored' at that ground, an own goal. Only two Notts players ever scored at Springfield Park, Ian McParland and the Ilkeston signing Mark Robinson. There's only 2 clubs we've played 10+ league games against that we have a worse PPG record against than Wigan, one of them unfortunately is MK Dons, the other - Southampton.
