Number one priority is a championship keeper

The EFL has said they do not want to Expand the playoffs for obvious reasons so Mark Palios is making it hard for himself.
Two playoff winners proposed by Pboro and now an uneven number of seven teams in the playoffs isn't very workable either.

He's trying to buy votes like Pboro did and he may get Wimbledon,s vote if they aren't going down either

He might get our vote and he's endorsing our promotion....On reflection it seems to be a great proposal. Well done Mark

It's a slightly different stance this one isn't it because he's saying that he doesn't want to get injured due to an impending move to another club rather than virus related
I'm sure Charlton and his Manager are livid even though they don't say so in public. Your best striker is refusing to play when you need him the most.

I assume He's still under contract to play but as we know it doesn't always mean very much. Withhold his wages perhaps but he,ll take that I'm sure

L1 & 2 could see play offs held before championship so that contracts can be sorted out.
I’d imagine contracts are already being done behind closed doors what they can, Lincoln have managed a retained list
It’s being prepared for next season what might be a problem seeing that some don’t know where they’ll be.
Coventry and ourselves will be in championship

I read it that he is out of contract at the end of June. Even if he isn't, a significant number of players will be, whilst loan players will have returned to their parents clubs, which is another reason why trying to restart the season at this time is daft

There will probably be another 2 week delay to give the clubs time to figure out Tranmere's plan

Yes I believe he is at the end of his contract and it seems he's bagged a large new contract with another club.
I don't know which day it expires but it might be 30 June so I would imagine he's contractually obliged to play in any games up to then.
I'm sure I read that players usually receive their salary for July as well even when they've left so there maybe some moral obligation to play in any games in July too.
Obviously Lyle is having none of it and is off.
I'm sure I read there were ownership issues at Charlton which won't have helped any allegiances he may have had

Had the EFL had some foresight to include in the rule book some regulations so in the eventuality that a season wasn't completed everyone knew where they stood we wouldn't be having these arguments

Let's not forget that Mark Palios is not exactly a man of high moral values:

FA chief forced out by scandal

    Paul Kelso, sports correspondent
    Mon 2 Aug 2004 06.07 EDT

Mark Palios last night resigned as chief executive of the Football Association in the wake of allegations that he authorised the organisation's communications director to brief against England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson to prevent details of his own affair with an FA employee being published.
