They showed that non-goal again on MotD...absolute bottle job by the VAR officials and the linesman-who should have seen it.

They say the table doesn't lie and, to an extent that's true but in this case, Bournemouth would still be a Premier League team if the officials had done their job properly.

Mind, much as i wanted them to go down because of the way their fans behaved when we were relegated, this Villa team deserve a lot of credit for pulling themselves out of the shit when most people had them relegated weeks ago-out of the 3 teams battling to avoid the drop, they looked to have the spirit and the balls to get the job done so fair play to them for that.

They were also lucky at home to Palace when Sakho put Palace 1-0 up and it was scrubbed out by VAR even though it was a perfectly good goal.

My hatred for Villa has subsided recently. Pointless holding a grudge over some silly banners from years ago. Karma slapped them in the face when they went down and stayed there for a bit. There are plenty more teams out there to focus our hatred on - mainly Everton of the prem clubs, absolute сunts that they are.

I still don’t like Villa of course but i’m glad to see the back of smaller clubs like Bournemouth and Watford.

I don't agree about the smaller clubs.

I think their presence actually enhances the PL because it gives hope to all clubs in the lower leagues (apart from the mackems, obvs ) that this is something they can genuinely aspire to. Bournemouth and Watford earned their right to be in the PL and deserved to be there for as long as they gained enough points to be in 17th or above.

Wouldn’t argue that they fully deserved their place in the league up until this season and Bournemouth in particular showed ambition beyond what we have shown in 13 years under Ashley.

However, both clubs have a very small fanbase (I’ve never met a fan of either club) and I would prefer to see better supported clubs at the top table. Of course they have to earn their place which is a totally different proposition.

I’m also biased because I get to a few away games. I’m glad to see the back of some southern clubs!
