That happened folks. I was there at every home game. No players name was chanted more that season than Stanley's.

Criminally misused by Fullarton. Obviously wasn't part of the PowerPoint.

Since we were last in the second tier there were some other Australians around the mid 90’s such as Gabriel Mendez and Adam Poric.

From Denmark we had Henric Jorgensen and Brian Gellett.

Cameron is represented by Fabrice Moureau.

France - Mickael Antoine-Curier, Youseff Sofiane.

Spat out his dummy big style after Moniz was sacked. One of the few things Fullarton did right was to freeze him out. He was average under Moniz, and utter shyte under everyone else.

We also had Drisa Traore and Jeremy Balmy from France.

Even though he was happy to play for Mick Halsall and Richard Dryden (the caretakers) after Moniz was sacked sure, he decided he specifically didn't want to play for Fullarton. Keep chatting sh*t, you're brilliant at it.

Bet you were sat there booing on your own and holding up a "Please stay Jamie" sign while everyone was singing Aborah's name, I'd love to know what he did to hurt you

And talking or Notts players from the Irish Republic, has anyone mentioned our greatest Irish player Ray O’Brien?
If we're going Irish, we should probably stick Finnan in there too.

I was delighted to see the back of both of them.

I'll happily tell you, he showed a total lack of effort in games which is something I can't forgive. You know when Mansfield stuffed us 5-0 at their place, I spent the last half hour specifically watching Aborah. He had completely lost interest. He tried a few fancy turns when the ball came to him, but stood and watched when Stags had the ball. The effort he put in was zero, it was like we were playing with ten men. There are very few ex-Notts players I would refuse to applaud if they returned to Meadow Lane, but Aborah was one of them. He certainly divided opinion in his time at Notts, some saw him as the best midfielder outside the Championship and the lower league Messi, some saw him as a spineless and vastly overrated show pony who was a complete waste of a shirt.

I think history has proved which group got it right.

I don’t think it proves which group was right at all. And I don’t think he divided opinion. The overwhelming majority of Notts fans rated Aborah highly. His technical ability was far better than the levels he played at and that was evident by the way oppositions doubled up on him every week.
I was also at that Stags game and every player gave up. Not sure why you spent 30 mins just watching one player? Who does that?
I think he underachieved because he seemed to be a bit of an outspoken idiot off-field.

    I do

Remember the game against Barnet when they all took it in turns to hack him down and he went off injured to a standing ovation before half time? Fans must have just been delighted to see him taken off I guess...

How can you possibly know that? Did you ask every fan? What was this "overwhelming majority" in percentage terms?

Complete bollox, nobody ever doubled up on him. One opponent who could graft was more than enough to keep him quiet. If his technical ability was "far better than the levels he played at", why the f*ck did he only go lower? He certainly had good close control, but his ability to influence a game was nil. I think his contribution in his time at Notts was one goal and one assist. Not quite what you would expect from "the best midfielder outside the Championship and the lower league Messi"!!!

Again, complete bollox. He underachieved because he was nowhere near as good as some Notts fans thought he was. This isn't an argument about a current player, it's about a player who left us and dropped into the Irish leagues FFS. If he was as good as you and Freeman claim, why wasn't he snapped up by a top end League 1 club?
