One can only hope for the correct outcome.
I'll leave it there
If it’s bad news for football then it’s probably their points deduction being overturned

EXCLUSIVE: Sheffield Wednesday owner Dejphon Chansiri is securing a debt against Hillsborough Stadium. A search to protect a ‘pending charge’ was made at the Land Registry on 30th Sept. The owner of the charge could sell Hillsborough if Wednesday don’t keep up with repayments.

Can someone explain in lay mans terms what the implications are for swfc. Grumps?

Not 100% sure Roly but it looks like the Wednesday chairman is wanting to borrow money and has put Hillsborough up as collateral. So, much as a mortgage lender can take your house if you default on your mortgage repayments, so the lender could take the stadium if chansiri (or SWFC) defaults. Not sure whether its Chansiri (one of his companies) or SWFC who are borrowing the cash.
The red flag for me is why someone who is apparently minted is needing to get a secured loan.
Thanks for that gents. So basically it dunt look like Chansiri is as loaded as some piggys fans might hope.
The irony of this is the value of the loan will be based on what Hillsborough is worth on the open market, the exact topic that got them into trouble in the first place
