We lack a ruthlessness, real hunger and desire to do anything more than we currently do (which isn’t a lot). Cormack has put in a fair amount of cash so far....he must be thinking of binning McInnes. He isn’t blind and I am pretty sure he is ambitious enough. Over to you Dave?!
Winning the Scottish Cup / finishing 3rd will give us the best opportunity to make the group stages next year and practically be guaranteed the year after (for winning the cup / finishing 3rd)

It might give us the best opportunity but he won’t achieve it. We are not winning the Scottish cup with him as manager and finishing 3rd is a harder task than necessary (finishing 3rd is no ambition either). Just admit McInnes will not get us to the group stages and the sense of relief for admitting it will make you feel better.

That’s seven seasons in a row he’s had at the Scottish cup ( 1 final in that time ) and six attempts at the group stages ( never progressed past round 3) .
Nothing will change this season but I can’t see him getting the same chances again and again under DC that he did under SM.

Cormack must decide what he wants. We know what Delboy delivers because we get much the same every year. The fans will get to celebrate a couple of big wins each season but in the end it will deliver nothing (it's unlikely we'll get another season anytime soon when Alloa, Falkirk, Motherwell, St Johnstone and ICT will stand between us and silverware) in success or even reaching European competition proper.

I feel Cormack has backed him this summer and gave him a good squad but if it's just going to be the same again then we need to replace McInnes. At the risk of going backwards initially, we need a freshen up at a managerial level and even some of the players like McGinn and Logan (I would also add Considine but that won't happen) need to be thanked and moved on.

I believe Cormack wants tangible success and that's why I think he'll twist at the first opportunity rather than stick with McInnes, although we might need to wait until the manager's contract runs out in 2022

The outbreak of Covid most likely saved McInnes from getting the sack at the end of last season. He got an extra life because of it (as such) but I imagine after the board giving out reasonable financial backing they will want something of note to show for it. McInnes won’t deliver (we all know it) any cup success this season and could well finish outside the top 3 again.
Dave Cormack is the only man who can really change how we go as a club so if he wants the fans to continue on his side he will most definitely need to make a decision on McInnes at sometime during this season.

I think he may well get this season as an extra life too , I can’t see him being sacked so it will be a case of running down his contract .
He’ll be here the whole of this season anyway .

Last Sunday still rankles We had every chance to beat a poor Celtic side and only managed one shot on goal. They were knackered in the second half and still we could not have a right go at them. McInnes can't motivate the team. They have heard the same story for 7 years and it is no longer working. Celtic were absolute rubbish last night against a Sparta Prague crippled by injuries and covid call off's. It shows where are. We will win nothing with McInnes. His time is up and If we don't have a decent season I think Cormack will bite the bullet in the summer and pay out his contract. Oh and as for qualifying for the group stages, that will not happen anytime soon unless we get into the lesser tournament being proposed for lower level teams. What annoys me is the likes of Reijka and Appolon Limmasol qualifying for the group stages, teams the like of which we should be beating. Dundalk might have had an easier route to the group stages having dropped down from the Champions League qualifiers but they only lost 4-3 to Rapid Vienna last night and we should have much more resources than them.

We are not an ambitious club.....it’s the Aberdeen way.
