Maybe wrong, but I think he's been playing midfield for Carlisle.

Seems Cooper has too, at Gateshead.

Lol, slight deviation off Vaulks but for me Smith can go and Hurst to return to Leicester, both not delivering and they've had their chances especially Smith. I liked Vassell's efforts in the last game and he's not afraid to shoot unlike Smith. After three seasons it's sometimes good for a change for both a player and a club.

Freddie will come good given the ball to feet and he could also help by laying it off sometimes and not be too ball greedy. It seriously wouldn't hurt to use Kayode come January if we are still struggling up front. What's to lose if it ain't working with what we've got?

Injuries apart I see no valid reason why PW should want to change the team from the last game

    A good shout Lol.
If Cardiff could help out with a big % of his wages I would have him back on loan from January.
Back in January Sunderland were hoping to take him on loan however it never materialised.

His enthusiasm, endeavour and his all round ability as a leader on the pitch as well as a few goals along the way could well carry us through the second half of the season.

    Two points

Can we have loans if we’ve got a full squad up to the limit?

Also, has Vaulks found his level? All players peak, maybe he has

No, we would have to reduce the 25 squad to bring someone in. Plenty to choose from.
Maybe he has reached his peak, yet I still think he could make the difference to us finishing fourth from bottom.
I would offload at least two.

I agree, we could do with his energy, physicality and enthusiasm

We could do with a " Roy of the Rovers ", who knows where the net is.
I think its time for Warne to tell his forwards, either start finding the net, or he will get players in the January transfer window, & they will be out.

He’s to hooman to do that. Would love to hear him growl for once but all he manages is a yap.

Can’t knock him for what he’s achieved though and probably the best Manager we’ve had if he keeps us up.
