Is that the information from Ryan Conway's pod cast by any chance, he's no further in the know than we are, it's just a best guess

Morris should just take a hit on the bloody loans he's taken out and bugger off as soon as possible. He can afford it. The whole situation is making the club look an absolute laughing stock now.

It's not that easy OTR, the MSD / Dell loans are into the wider group, not just Mel, and secured on Pride Park.

Nope, its from a reasonably trustworthy source, who is closer to the action, but would admit they aren't privy to all the details.

There is quite a convoluted company and subsidiary company set up, with intra company loans which does require some time to sort out.

Patience is a virtue, these matters are complex, mostly due to the way Mel's set up different companies.

I understand Hughton might be interested in the job...

That wouldn't be outlandish, if he knows there will be funds at a club with potential its a job he would be interested in and be a good choice. However, who knows?

    The takeover........

The Athletic claiming online that Sheikh ya money is being taken to court over a £500K debt related to the failed takeover of Newcastle. They seem to be suggesting the deal could fall through. It's not, however, the most credible of sources.

The Derby Telegraph seems to think this isn't about to derail the deal.

Life's never dull. We'll know when we know and not before so be patient.

I agree with being patient, but we're in the relegation zone, and uncertainty breeds uncertainty at all levels. It needs sorting soon.

If the deal can be derailed over 1/2 million not being paid, then its not likely that it will lead to the land of milk and honey anyway. So if it does fall thru on this basis we will have been well out of it, and if it doesnt then it doesnt.........
