Barnsley FC contacted Rotherham United late last year about a potential ground-share plan at NYS, The Yorkshire Post understands.

Bit ironic that a club who could be at least a league above us next season woulsd want to ground share with us

I say this in all seriousness: given that the owners of BFC are yet to fully pay for the purchase of the club, if they do become our tenants then RUFC must ensure that any rent is paid up front.

I get the impression Tone doesn't want anyone degrading his pitch or shiny new stadium.
He wouldn't entertain the rugby club a few years ago.

Money talks but it might have to be a large sum even in these difficult times

There is summat not reight about Barnsley yet they are doing well on the pitch. Will they implode or go from strength to strength. They seem to be solid in some areas ie a good coach and decent players but weak in others eg the ground situation... I dont quite get it...

It'll be Highways England Roly so the cost is borne by Income Tax and not Counvil Tax.

    But I prefer Grist's answer. Classic 😂
