If me as a supplier hid behind a term 'best reasonable effort' as an excuse for non supply Id like to think I'd provide a very good explanation.

What would have happened to the stock of vaccines if they had have been delivered to the EU club and the EU club had not approve the vaccine to be used in its borrowed territory of European countries?

The regulatory approval argument is a diversion and, frankly, ludicrous. Is the suggestion that they should have waited until approval before making the order then wait 4 months for the vaccine to arrive? Complete stupidity.

They did the right thing. They ordered in advance to have supplies ready and go straight into the vaccination programme as approval is granted. Makes perfect sense.

Move it on to countries that had approved it. Really simple.

I only started this thread to see if other parts of the country were quicker at rolling out the vaccine than ours as I'd heard parts Up North were injecting over-70s whereas we hadn't even done many over-80's. Thought you might want to send some of the stiff down here for the likes of me. Never expected the thread to grow into the Frankenstein monster it has become. Bit naïve, I suppose. Anyway, we must have done quite a few over-80's down here now as most of my over-80 friends have been done or given a date and even some of my over-75 friends have had a call-up. Not me, in case you're wondering, but I am in the next group (4). Won't hold my breath though or get my hopes up too much. Stay safe, all of you.

Can't argue any more. You're a good word smith and more knowledgable than I could be on this. I will look at the EU for what I see they are and you will the way you do. Neither will ever be right and neither wrong.

The gravy train for failed politions will drive on into the night.

My mother in Malby had her first jab last week end along with my in laws. My father and mother in law have had a letter saying their first jab will be on the 2nd Feb and their second at the end of april. They'll be having theirs at Rawmarsh.

In France we'll be getting ours in 2023

According to a table for age groups set out, I am 69 years old, according to the table, I & my wife are due for our vaccine jab, between 25 February / 16 March 2021.
