Leicester City - v - Leeds United ***Matchday Thread"""

Leeds defender Diego Llorente could be out for up to a month after injuring his hamstring during the midweek win over Newcastle.

Robin Koch, Gaetano Berardi and Adam Forshaw remain sidelined.

Leicester's Wilfred Ndidi misses out with a hamstring injury incurred against Everton in midweek but Jonny Evans, who went off in that game with an eye problem, should be fit.

Top scorer Jamie Vardy continues to recuperate after hernia surgery.

Leicester completely dismantled Leeds when they met at Elland Road in November but the difference this time is that Foxes striker Jamie Vardy is out injured.

Vardy was instrumental in the Foxes' first two goals that day, and scored their third one himself. Without him, it should be a lot closer.

Leeds got a badly needed win over Newcastle in midweek to get back on track after three straight defeats, and they are a dangerous side when their tails are up.

    MATCH FACTS

    Leicester City

Leicester are nine matches unbeaten in all competitions.Seven of those games have come in the Premier League - only leaders Manchester City are on a longer unbeaten top-flight run.Brendan Rodgers' side have won each of the past 11 league matches in which they scored the opening goal, including all 10 this season.

Big test for Bielsa and the team today. In the Bielsa era no team has beaten Leeds twice in the League in the same season. Bielsa learns from defeats. But will the players be good enough? Honestly don't know. Last time round, I think it was Koch who made a couple of bad mistakes to let them score. Leicester at home, will attack. So should be entertaining.

Not really expecting much from today.
Happy to be proved wrong though.

Not expecting much either but at least Vardy and Ndidi are not playing and as we are away the pitch will be decent too.

As far as we know, the same players who gave Liverpool such a fright will be available today, with the added advantage that Rodrigo now knows where he should be and what he should be doing (instead of playing defender and giving away a penalty!). Also, he now has a strike partner in Raphina, and when they are on the pitch together, they are better than the sum of the parts (just as Saiz and Alioski used to spark off each other when he was with us). The players have had a relatively relaxed fixture schedule this last couple of weeks (16th & 26th), so should be fit and raring to go, Leicester played on 16th, 19th and 27th, so that game in the middle might just have an effect. Interesting game in prospect.

The key will be will we press and how high up the field, and if, as its likely, that we do, how effective will the back line be when they break (as they inevitably will) and how much tracking back will the midfield do. Not much to worry about then!

On the line-ups front Personally, I would prefer to have seen Ndidi play instead of Maddison (I know he has had injuries, but he makes plays for them, bit like Hernandez but younger!), but we take what we get given I guess.

As for the pitch, agree with other comments, pains me to say it but with fans absent, I see ER as having been a disadvantage at the moment (at least it was until the new surface went down, be interesting to see how it plays and how we perform against Everton on Wednesday.

    Will never understand this.
We get a free kick in the opposition half, yet we then pass it back, eventually to Cooper.
