Yep - that stood out to me too.

Ok, you expect the managers mafia to back each other up (yep, its a tough job when you get guaranteed massive payoffs every time for failing to deliver in your job), but his "what exactly do Aberdeen fans expect" chat just summed up the attitude of all these people.

These guys know their place and are happy just making up the numbers with no ambition or drive to try and change that - just complete acceptance of where they are and the fact they cannot do anything about it.

Fergie, McLean, Clough - all the greats - none of them ever thought like that.

We need to make damn sure first and foremost that whoever the next manager is absolutely does not have the loser mentality of folk like Avril and McCall.

    RIP Eddie

I certainly see that required characteristics in Neil Francis Lennon, get him in the door, he will sort out the men from the boys.
Have to say BUS, I do find it amusing that a man who made a career the last couple of years out of continually slagging off Cosgrove for his major limitations with regard to his ability as a player, despite his significant achievements in the goal scoring stakes, seems so happy to have the absolute managerial equivalent of big Sam take over at AFC

Well we heard it from his own mouth (Dave great teeth Cormack) that he told McInnes his time was up. The press tried to pander still with McInnes and generally stated it was through a mutual decision that he left the club. He was sacked!

I have gave Cormack a bit stick at times but I will credit him where it is due. He has a vision of how he wants Aberdeen to play and obviously could see it wasn’t going to happen with The Anchor Man at the helm.

Let’s hope his own choice of manager is what we can all be generally excited about and future results mirror that. After today’s Cormack speech, let’s hope it is what we are hoping for and not another let down. The pressure is on....it’s time to thrive under it all.

Yup, and its the main reason I'd favour someone from outwith these shores Moog; a tacit acceptance of the pecking order seems ingrained in the Scottish game currently.

    Yup.

You just know we’ll be labelled as unrealistic by that mob. They don’t realise, or don’t want to realise, that its about having a go, and not accepting the losers mentality. Better to try and fail than just coast along “knowing our place”

Absolutely Ando. Even worse when other fans have that attitude. Check oot (if you must!) the EIGHT pages on Pikey Mad on McInnes' departure. The main theme of the thread is that they have learned to accept their place in the pecking order and we haven't. And congratulating themselves on that.

    Pathetic.

They'd also be delighted with our sloppy seconds i.e. DM.
