At least the derby games will be back, yes I expect the mackems to get promoted. If Bruce is still the manager I dread to think of the stick hes gonna get, well deserved though.
No tino, the crowd can't make it toxic towards Bruce. That would make them hypocrites. They couldn't protest, go in late, sing a nasty song against Ashley more than once a game as they are there to support the team and not the regime. Abuse or chants against Bruce won't be supporting the team.

There's a distinction, for me, between attending and shouting 'get out of our club' and going and giving Bruce stick.

I'm afraid, if you go, you're part of the reason he's still here, like it or not, so singing about him is the definition of an empty gesture. But, Bruce is a different kettle of fish. Leaving aside, for a moment, the rights and wrongs of going, Bruce absolutely deserves to get it with both barrels.

I'm done. I don't know why i even bother watching our games anymore.

The absolute scenes when we get relegated and it's announced Steve Bruce is the man to bring us back up.

So giving Bruce stick Zip is not supporting the team is it. I find it a bit strange Bruce is the one to get all the stick, we all knew he would be shìte. It's Ashley's fault he is here, it's Ashley's fault he hasn't been sacked and it's Ashley's fault this club will be in the Championship next season.
Mike Ashley has done more to harm this club than Bruce ever could or will. Just can't see why the heat isn't permanently on his shoulders. Maybe it's because a PL place means more to the modern day fan than the future of our club.
Can stick the PL as far as I am concerned and I will not shed a tear if we are not in the corrupt organisation come August. What is the point of being in a league where 6 teams can compete and 14 others make up the numbers.

Geordie, I agree with almost everything you say.

I think my point about giving Bruce abuse-can we call it abruce? - is that it was ever thus when a manager had worn the fans down to the point where they wanted him out. In a way, you could argue it actually is supporting the team in that getting rid of a shite manager benefits the team in the long term.

In a way, much as I know...we all do...that Ashley is to blame for all of our troubles...and much as we all know that Bruce was employed for the specific purpose of attracting flak towards him and thus away from Ashley...nevertheless, Bruce is to blame for the particular circumstances we find ourselves in at the minute and is naturally-and rightly-going to attract criticism for it.

True. But in my opinion you're being played. Bruce, Uncle Joe, McLaren and the next useless c*nt fatso brings in is irrelevant. We will continue to be relegated as long as he ownes the club. That has been my opinion on here since July 2009.

Ashley is the cancer that needs to be excised from the club. He's the reason we've been landed with Bruce and all the other sh1t managers over the last decade or so. I still find it baffling that Ashley bought the club yet has no interest in it being successful

my opinion is probably in the minority on this but Steve Bruce is 100% to blame for where we find ourselves today!

yes yes we all know Mike Ashley is the real problem we need to get rid of, but he's been the same for 14 years, we all know what its going to take to get rid of him, we have done everything we can apart from stay away. Ashley may decide to leave if he didn't get a sell out every week. We actually had a willing buyer and a willing seller and the PL plssed on that fire to protect the top 6 from the beast we would have become.

In fairness to Mike Ashley for this season (and I'm not backing him at all) he has given Steve Bruce the players to finish top half comfortably. The squad is much better than we have had for many many years, probably since we finished 5th.
He had given Bruce the job of looking after the club, the fat **** has been out of the country for practically a year.

Can you imagine what Rafa, Hughton, or Sir Bobby could have done with this group of players!

Steve Bruce is to blame for this seasons mess, he picks the side, he chooses the tactics, he gets the team ready to play.

Instead all he has done is throw the players under the bus, deflect any blame from himself , ban the media for asking questions, blame the fans, mock our previous manager, complain and moan about the abuse he is getting which is a reflection on his performance and attitude.
He hasn't got a plan A never mind a plan B, as soon as Jones was brought in and people saw him on his feet directing the team while Bruce stood back quietly and it was spoken about, Jones was miraculously sat in the stands for the next fixture.
He is like a petulant child, claims to be a fan, claims to understand the fans but instantly throws his toys out of the pram when questioned on his methods.
When i heard he shoulder barged into Ritchie for calling him a coward, i was embarrassed for the club. I'd rather he took his head off with a left hook, at least that would have shown some fire and spirit and a bit of passion.

He walked past Ritchie wearing his black bubble jacket and banged into Ritchie with his shoulder like an 11 year old school child in the playground.

Even when he claims to have changed things up a bit and have a go "doing it my way" i believe he said, he set us up with two strikers and two wingers and i thought "at last we will have a go"

but no, he played the right footer on the left and the left footer on the right, so that instantly nullifies any crosses going into the box and encourages everyone to try to play through the middle.

Shelvey, Jolinton, Hendrick should be no where near the side!! we can all see that.

Reading between the lines of whats going on at the club, media stories, players statements and Bruce himself, he has created a divide in the dressing room, the ones that stick with Brucie are the "jobs for the boys" lot

Jonjo Shelvey even said "if you dont run all game and put the effort in, you wont play!!!" where does he get the balls to issue that statement? he is the laziest overhyped player i have ever seen in a Newcastle team

How about bringing Andy Carroll on for 20 seconds a game, the lad is on a pay as you play deal

i could go on and on, yes Mike Ashley is the overall problem but this current issue is all owned by the three Steves

Steve Bruce has done so badly, that i would rather have 3 managers that have got their clubs relegated from the same division

    Howe, Wilder, Wagner

and id also have managers that have never been tried at this level

Thomas Frank, Lee Bowyer, Joey Barton, Steven Gerrard, Patrick Vieria
