Nicky Butt is a co-owner of Salford (with Giggs, Scholes and the Nevilles) so I think it’s more likely he will take the managers job there since they fired their manager Wellens this week.

They've already got Gary Bowyer in. A guy we should have got in when we got Kewell instead. Apparently didn't want to work with Hardy

Ahh...missed that! Good appointment for Salford.

So...a mate of a mate said last week that Jim Gannon was coming to Notts after over hearing it in Tescos. I thought it was a joke at the time but feasible now?!

It’s always seemed logical that our owners would want to move to a more continental head coach set up, but the time to do that really isn’t with a third of a season left and essentially zero time for anyone to have an impact on the training pitch.

Which has all left me a bit stumped, to be honest. The only kind of manager you can see having a real impact in this situation is a real motivator who can maybe tweak us to be a bit more attacking and generally cheer everyone, players particularly, up a bit. But I can’t see that kind of character being the owners’ view of an ideal long term manager.

I wonder if they have a short-term fix in mind.

Lots of good speculation on who the next manager will be, I think Football Radar will have had a big say with their stats who the new manager will be.
