I like the 3-4-3 formation as a plan going forward.

Kelly-Evans and Chicksen both have good energy to get up and down, and it means the two front players either side of Wootton can play as genuine supporting/inside forwards rather than having to concentrate too much on tracking back. Overall, it suits the players we have on the pitch today and in reserve. My concern would be whether the personnel in the two-man midfield are good enough to win that battle (Bishop & Ravenhill they ain't), and if not, then that's where the summer recruitment will have to be especially effective.

No we didn't!!! Jesus you have such rose-tinted glasses when it comes to Ardley. We were completely toothless under him. We could barely muster a shot on goal. I would agree that we were more solid at the back, but that's because of the awful, defensive football he played.

And you think Ardley was worse than he was. Different opinions. On the face of it IB is doing worse with the same group of players.

I doubt it, but they would be foolish if they do, because they're likely to be out of the door far sooner than the new head coach.

Hopefully this will put to bed the notion that Chicksen is worth a new contract. He isn't. We were trying to get rid of him in January and I can see why.

Kelly-Evans is another one who is weirdly overrated because he runs about a lot and puts in tackles. He isn't good enough. That's why Coventry let him go.

We need a total rebuild because this lot are hopeless.

First half:
Needless back passes in our own half - 25.
Needless back passes from the Eastleigh half - 7
Notts attacks/semblance of an attack - 10
Notts chance - 1.5.
