    OT - Free Speech

Being able to talk about topics without being vilified and labelled.
A new news station has been created - GB News to counter the cancel culture that has been cultivated by the far left.
Most of us in Barnsley are tradition Labour voters - the tradition coming from the town being dominated by mining.

As an ex-miner myself and spending time as an NUM official I would describe the vast majority of miners as conservative with a small ‘c’.
They were not the far left fanatics that you see now in the current Labour Party.
IMO - the miners I knew would find it difficult to support the present Labour Party

I’ve been watching GB news since it’s launch some of the presenters on there are a bit amateurish but they should get better.

If you want to watch somebody who makes Piers Morgan look like the Pope search for Alex Belfield on YouTube, you’ll not agree with some of his views but he doesn’t hold back.

    I will.
I think the tide is turning - people are beginning to talk about all sorts of issues including race issues without being labelled a racist.
It’s only the far left that insist on shouting people down when things like race are mentioned - as this supports their agenda in their attempts to separate people into different groups.

I try never to get involved in issues like racism, genderism ar any other ism’s that are out there. I know theirs no hate in my heart but I’ll be buggered if I’m going to put myself in a situation where I have to prove it, the one thing I am strongly against is cruelty either physical or mentally to both man and beast.
That’s not to say I agree with everything that’s going on in this crazy world that’s being forced on us, for instance I don’t agree with players taking the knee but that doesn’t make me racist but in some peoples eyes I am but so long as I know I’m not I can live with that.

I like listening to most of what Alex Belfield says, and yes while he is a bit full of himsenn, that's why hes worth listening to. I'm not sure about his close friendship with Jim Davidson though, as I don't particularly like him anymore.

    Edited:

This thread is about free speech and all Daft, but I was very disappointed with your comments and I've deleted them. But most fans on here will probably have seen them already anyway!.
I hope its because you have been drinking for example, and hopefully you will look back on them and regret what you posted tomorrow. Maybe ?.
