    Transfer deadline day

    Anyone expecting anything to happen?

I used to love this day...constantly checking for updates on fan sites, listening to the radio and watching SSN.

The worst to date (that comes to mind) is the year we only bought Anita after we finished 5th. Then, though, our squad, compared to this one, was an awful lot stronger so that makes this one the worst because there are so many gaps to fill.

Half the team who started the season were with us in the Chimpo...beggars belief, really. This could be another season where fatso's fat, greedy bastard, tight-arsed approach catches up with him. Again.

It’s another part of the football calendar that Ashley has sucked all of the excitement, anticipation and, even, interest out of.

If someone does come in it’ll be a loan due to the ‘amazing’ (apparently) job the club did to sign Willock, and won’t be anyone to get excited about.

We just plod along till Ashley sells.

I don't bother anymore, I was sick of seeing fans of other clubs excited at their clubs ambitious owners brining in players. While sat waiting for us to do nothing.

This window must be the biggest kick in the teeth by the FCB ever & will give him the most satisfaction.Any other manager would walk in the face of such neglect but as our esteemed coach is part of the problem I hope he's ready for the onslaught. How he can have the audacity to imply that in signing Willock, the club have far exceeded his expectations, is beyond me.All part of the circus I guess.

Aye Zip, I don't even bother now. I'll have a check on my phone if I think about but I know we'll do nothing.

But this just makes it even more embarrassing, no idea if true or not but the fact I can believe it. . .

Haha Bruce trying to sign players on his own. Could be Ashley cutting costs....he'll probably have Bruce wiping down the tables in the staff can**** next to save a bob or two

Back then I was a much more angry person in general and I wanted to really hurt people in the decision making roles at the club. Obviously I never, nor would I, act on those thoughts. These days, years later I just get this bad taste in my mouth and I have spit on the floor.

probably because of Adam Johnson and that underage t.e.e.n girl.

Nowt to do with us, but anything north of Manchester all gets thrown into a pot and we are all the same.

I wouldn't be surprised if Craig Hope was right.

Where the fuck is Lee Charnley in all this?
