So the other players to come never did come, but that's not really a surprise is it. A totally underwhelming window, our aging, plodding, unproductive midfield remains untouched, our three non-scoring strikers remain the only options to run around a bit up front with Chris Wood. It's left to the genius of Sean Dyche once again, to turn this motley collection of journeymen into a durable PL team and grind out enough points to keep us out of the bottom three.

There are several clubs looking on the brink of implosion already, so he may well do it yet again, but any faint hope that our new owners were actually going to invest in the playing squad has now vanished, they really are potless, and this can only have one end. It's simply a matter of time, when, not if.

The window has ended far better than I expected with Collins, Cornet and Roberts coming in, but far more importantly we have not lost any of our better players Pope, Tarkowski and McNeil.

I am sill concerned that there has been no improvement in central mid-field or upfront as it was these two area we looked particularly poor.

I have to agree Sinkov. The obsession with defenders is bewildering. The last 6 months have shown that no matter how good your defence is if the midfield gets overrun you are fecked.A good midfield addition should have been more important than the Cornet addition in my opinion.

We lost, Christie has chosen a Championship club over us, and he wasn't even expensive, Parker's nicked him for £1.5 Million. Fecking embarrassing.

He wanted guaranteed playing time; he was not getting that with us.

So Scott Parker has agreed to play him ? He's allowing a player to pick his team for him ? Really ?

He's a Championship quality player sinkov, he's struggled against Stenhousemuir.

Sounds about right BT, that's the sort of player we keep targeting, which is why I call our recruitment team dysfunctional. You can't have it both ways mon ami, we've lost out on a decent player, or he's ****e, in which case why were even looking at him, never mind trying to sign him ?

Good luck for the rest of the season - think the more lenient refereeing and allowing contact back into the game will suit Burnley and glad it has returned.

Hope you keep hold of Dyche and keep playing the way you do makes a change to all the identikit ways of playing. Predict you will finish no lower than 15th.
