    Brennan Johnson

Nottingham Forest player starting for Wales today against Belarus.

Just looked up a couple of details as I knew nothing about him.Apparently his father played for Burnley at some stage.

I remember his dad David, he played the last 8 games of the 2001/2 season on loan for us from Forest. He was a cracking little player, we were supposed to be signing him in the summer window, but as so often with us, it never happened. A shame, teamed up with Robbie Blake and Glenn Little he would have been lethal.

Connor Roberts is recovering from a groin problem. It will be a little while before he can start his Burnley career.

Wales really struggling with injuries, not helped by 3 players not being there through visa issues.

Bale hat trick - nicked the winner at the death.
Bolton lad Sheehan didn't start either.

No criticism of Brennan, he doesn't make the rules, but it's another fine example of the can of worms that international qualification is. He's qualified to play for England, Wales and Jamaica, he's already played for England at U16 and U17 level, but has decided he's now Welsh, which is fine, probably a wise decision if he wants an international career, so why would he not.

But no kissing the badge please Brennan, that's taking it a bit too far.
