Wiles up to Rathbone being taken off looked our worst midfielder on the day. That's why crowd got at Warney abit. After that Wiles upped his game was only player making things happen.

He wasn't awful but definitely not MOTM. The issue with Wiles for me, as shown today, is that sense he is untouchable. Some questioned if Barlaser should take his place in the team. One question. Should he have come off instead of Rathbone. Two questions. Another MOTM after not doing anything in particular, how? (granted nobody was great by any stretch). Three questions. I know the management didn't select MOTM but it all feeds into frustration that people seem blind to what many fans see.

I remember thinking during the game that we need to change and bring Dan on but knew without doubt that Wiles wasn't coming off. That's some of the issue for me, not blaming him for it, but we know he won't come off. Everyone knows it, other players etc.

Fair play to them for taking their chances mind you, some cracking finishing. The number 9, Morton, terrorised our back line all game. We played into their hands all game, the hoofball approach does not work. The Smudge and Freddie tandem does not work. I don't know if one or both of them is to blame, or neither, they just don't link up that well. Then again, first half they did on the break one time, when the ball was on the floor.....

Rathbone played well, credit to him, he actually played well again. Smudge was alright. That's as good as it got for me. I won't go through the rest individually but off the pace and lacking in quality sums up pretty much everyone from Ladapo trying to score from the outside of his boot at an awful angle to Chieo not being able to cross for most of the game.

We look so much better when we play on the floor, why we constantly resort to hoofing it I just don't know. We needed more guile when going forward, we needed a Dan (I know, had to say it) to get on the ball and link it up a bit. Just so poor, all afternoon. I'm getting a KFC to cheer myself up, ah well.

    Lastly, Wiles MOTM, okayyyy.
Overall a good summary. Shows how bad it was when eating a meal from a bucket lifts the gloom

I think their No9 was the best CF we have seen at the NY for a long time.

    1. One dimensional - long ball or wide to ogbene who cannot cross his chest.
    2. Players out of position - two right footed players on the left we got caught out down there for 3 goals that is 4 at home now if you include the Wednesday goal. Harding and Sadlier are decent players being played out of position
    3. We are massively short in CB - i know warne and others thinks anyone and their grandmother can play CB, well they are wrong it is a very specialist position. We have ONE experienced cb that can play there week in and week out, Wood (wonderful player for the club) cannot cut it now at his age week in week out. The Tilt situation should have been managed properly by the bloke who has that job title, either that or we should have brought cover in and not just a lad from Hudderfield. To make it worse we play a formation that needs 3 CB's, you couldn't make this sh*t up
    4. Subs - arrghhhh I am sure Warne things what is the worst decision i can make and then finds one even worse. Time and time and time again he gets his subs wrong, great to hear the crowd inform him of that today. How Freddie was still on that pitch is beyond me
    5. Look at the footballers we have at the club, all capable of playing it on the ground a passing and pressing game our manager recruits them then doesnt let them play

I have other points but being it is the same old same old points and we have a management team that do not learn from the same mistakes, if plan A works great if it isn't working then our answer is more Plan A with a few new players, they must have done their coaching badges at Clifton Park rather that St georges park.

All of the issues that I mention and others have also are down to the manager and his mates we employ as coaches, they need to step up and take a long hard look at the way they manage this club.
2 difficult away matches against good sides, we need to go to 4-5-1 formation with either Grigg or Sadlier behind Smith and a defensive midfieler, playing natural full backs at full back on the correct side.

Barleser gets in any other team in this division.
Warnes insistence on playing Wiles will only get fans on the players back. We don’t have wing backs it’s that simple.

Grayson completely negated our strengths and totally exposed our glaring weakness and I never thought I'd see such a slightly built, diminutive forward completely boss our CH,s
Full Credit to them for doing so.

Come on Emma, cheer us up a bit
