The basic concept of a team is that the whole is greater than the sum of the individual parts. Warne has one of the best squads in League 1 but week after week contrives to put together a team that plays to no more that 60% of its capabilities. The weaknesses, so expertly exploited by the Fleetwood team and management, seem apparent to everyone except our own management team who are stubbornly inflexible tactically, blind to every fault and devoid of creativity and imagination.

From a footballing perspective we are so predicable and have stagnated to such an extent that it's difficult to imagine where we go from here under Warne's leadership. I've seen comments about who would replace him but with this squad Homer Simpson would struggle to do any worse. The whole set up at the club needs re-energising and re*****ising, we need a different perspective, new ideas. Yes, we've only played a handful of games, yes, Warne could turn it around, I sincerely hope he does, but he needs to recognise his own deficiencies. He needs to get back to basics and above all he needs to play to individual strengths rather than have individuals play to an unworkable and largely unrecognisable system that is clearly alien to most and where we don't have the resources to implement it. The starting point shouldn't be let's play 3-5-2, that's novel, and let's have wing backs, now who can we play where, it should be what talent do we have at our disposal and how best can we utilise it.

Interesting view is that and one I’m in agreement with.

I’ve mentioned it in the past that some of the best team performances and results have come when PW’s team selections have been forced on him by injuries and suspensions

It’s as though given more player choices and permutations he becomes confused by it all

Oh, and yes, stop being nice, get some grit in the mix

Ripped apart by the two Town front men. Four shots, four goals. Even at 2-1 up we looked out of sorts.
Very disappointed with the support. A brief period of singing when we were in front, then silence. Jeering of young Wiles(that's what it would have appeared to the players). He's one of our own, Apparently.

Divided right from the start, as the players took the knee, and it got no better

I'd be surprised if we don't revert to a 442 or 4411 because the 352 we are playing is so predictable and we don't have the proper wing backs to play this system. Come on Warney let's start playing on the deck we have the players with talent to play much better.

Maybe the return of the dreaded 4-5-1

Particularly as next two games are away v teams that both scored 5 today

Funny I don't remember your glorious input a few days ago when we thrashed Donny away. Pep lost his first game at Spurs... don't see many PROPER City fans with hour hindsight.

What a set of 'supporters'. JULIUS CAESAR would have loved you. What'll your tune be when we smash Lincoln. You're just chaff in the wind. Dunno why Warne doesn't walk away and give you what you want. Wouldn't have wanted any of you at Rourkes Drift.

He probably didn't watch the Donny match. It was pretty irrelevant. I didn't watch it either. That's why you didn't hear from me.

I watched today and we were sh1t.
